This fall, the next upgrade will simultaneously make its official debut alongside the iPhone 15.
If you are able to text without looking at the display or if you rely on muscle memory to navigate your phone, the impending upgrade for the Apple iPhone may take you by surprise.
The “end call” option is moving from the center of the bottom towards the bottom right in the initial releases of the beta version of the iOS 17 update, which shows that the change will be released later this year.
It is a relatively simple change, but it has the potential to cause veteran iPhone users to question whether or not they have successfully ended a phone call. This is because other functions will migrate down to accompany it, and it will no longer stand independently or be visible in the way that it is now.
Pictures from version 17 betas of Apple’s iOS that were released by The Verge revealed the upgrade, and they show that this was adopted by Apple to make room for the Contact Display feature, which pushes the phone call buttons down and provides space for a picture of the individual who you are talking to. This was done in order to accommodate the update.
The photos also demonstrate that the “speaker” and “mute” buttons have recently switched places, the same as how the “FaceTime” and “keyboard” options have been rearranged. It would appear that the list of contacts option and the ability to add a phone call have been combined into one option as well.
A real-time voice translation capability, the ability to record as well as send FaceTime multimedia messages, and personalized Contact Posters are among of the new features that have been introduced with the latest version, which is set to make its formal debut this autumn alongside the iPhone 15.
