WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has made an announcement that it would soon begin rolling out an update for group conversations that will give managers the ability to evaluate messages that have been flagged.
As reported by WaBetaInfo, the current version of the messaging app will be brought up to 2.23.16.18 with the release of a new update that will be distributed via the Program of Google Play Beta.
The function is now accessible to a subset of beta testers; but, in the next weeks, a wider audience is going to able to make use of the functionality.
By evaluating messages that have been identified within the group chat, this feature will make it possible for admins to better manage the groups they are responsible for. This function would be present on the screen for configuring the group settings.
By utilizing this function, the members of the group will have the ability to report any communication that, in their opinion, violates the guidelines or is offensive.
The administrators are then given the opportunity, depending on the subject matter of the content that was reported, to either remove the communication completely for everyone or to take necessary action. It’s also possible that they will remove the person who sent it from the group.
Because of this feature, the atmosphere in the group seems secure and courteous, and the administrators are able to monitor the group regardless of whether they are not actively participating in its activities.
According to the WhatsApp watcher, the messages that require an administrator’s attention will be shown in a new area that can be accessed in the group details screen. Anyone participating in the conversation can quickly send a message to the administrator for review by simply opening the message choices.
Users who have the most recent upgrades for the WhatsApp beta app for Android will be allowed to use the feature.
